The answer is generally yes.

The recent changes to google’s algorithm has given weight to websites that:

  1. publish frequent unique content
  2. share it widely across a social media presence

In our experience, daily blogging is the most efficient way to add value to the web and also rank your web pages on google. Of course, that is assuming you are:

  • blogging about the topic people are searching for (“keyword phrase”)
  • optimising your blog content for those keyword phrases

We must also make it easy for people to share the content by providing social media sharing buttons prominently displayed on each blog entry.

In addition, we must have a comprehensive social media presence across the Web, to be able to share our own work across all these properties and give it exposure.

If it’s great stuff, people will naturally share it and word-of-mouth should kick in nicely.

Google should recognise all the votes for your stuff, and give it even more weight in search results.

This is how fresh content may improve your google rankings.
